Morning-glory Family

Calystegia longipes (=Convolvulus linearilobus).  PAIUTE FALSE BINDWEED.  Perennial.  Mohave and Yavapai counties at 3500-5000 feet, and Mazatzal Mountains of Gila County [McD].


Calystegia sepium ssp. sepium (=Convolvulus sepium).  HEDGE BINDWEED.  Perennial.  Coconino and Navajo counties, 6000-7000 feet [McD].



Convolvulus arvensis (=Convolvulus incanus [misapplied]).  FIELD BINDWEED.  Perennial.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 3500-8500 feet [McD; also listed C. incanus as present throughout region at 3000-6000 feet, but USDA annotates the name as misapplied, and specimens referred to this species in the United States are actually a variation of C. arvensis].


Cressa truxillensis.  SPREADING ALKALIWEED.  Perennial.  Reported from Mohave and Coconino counties, 1000-4000 feet [McD].


Evolvulus arizonicus.  WILD DWARF MORNING-GLORY.  Perennial.  Reported from Yavapai County, 3500-5000 feet [McD].


Evolvulus nuttallianus (=Evolvulus pilosus).  SHAGGY DWARF MORNING-GLORY.  Perennial.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 3000-5800 feet [McD].


Evolvulus sericeus var. sericeus (=Evolvulus sericeus var. discolor).  SILVER DWARF MORNING-GLORY.  Perennial.  Yavapai and Navajo counties, 3500-5500 feet [McD].


Ipomoea coccinea.  STAR-GLORY.  REDSTAR.  Annual.  [McD; range not distinguished from I. hederifolia (treated as variety of this species), given as Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, and Apache counties, 2500-6000 feet].


Ipomoea costellata.  CRESTRIB MORNING-GLORY.  Annual.  Yavapai, Coconino, and Apache counties, 3500-6500 feet [McD].


Ipomoea hederacea.  IVYLEAF MORNING-GLORY.  Annual.  Near Montezuma Well, Yavapai County, at 3600 feet [McD].


Ipomoea hederifolia (=Ipomoea coccinea var. hederaefolia).  SCARLETCREEPER.  Annual. [McD; range not distinguished from I. coccinea, given as Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, and Apache counties, 2500-6000 feet].


Ipomoea plummerae.  HUACHUCA MOUNTAIN MORNING-GLORY.  Perennial.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 5000-9000 feet [McD].


Ipomoea purpurea.  TALL MORNING-GLORY.  Annual.  Occasional escape from cultivation, especially in Yavapai and Coconino counties [McD].
