Bulbostylis juncoides.  RUSH HAIRSEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported in Yavapai County at 3000-6000 feet [McD].


Carex albonigra.  BLACK-AND-WHITE SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found on San Francisco Mountain, up to 12,000 feet [McD].


Carex aquatilis.  WATER SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in the White Mountains of Apache County, at ca. 5000-10,000 feet [McD].


Carex athrostachya.  SLENDERBEAK SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 6500-8500 feet [McD].

Carex curatorum.  KAIBAB SEDGE.  Perennial.  On the [North] Kaibab Trail to Roaring Springs, Grand Canyon National Park [McD].


Carex douglasii.  DOUGLAS' SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported in Mohave and Coconino counties, 5000 feet and higher [McD].


Carex duriuscula (=Carex eleocharis).  NEEDLELEAF SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 6000-8000 feet [McD].


Carex ebenea.  EBONY SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 10,500-12,000 feet [McD].


Carex filifolia.  THREADLEAF SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from San Francisco Mountain in Coconino County, and from near Ganado in Apache County at ca. 6500 feet [McD].


Carex foenea var. foenea (=Carex siccata).  DRYSPIKE SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Yavapai, Coconino, and Apache counties, 8000-11,500 feet [McD].


Carex geophila.  WHITE MOUNTAIN SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from Yavapai, Coconino, and Apache counties, 5550-10,000 feet [McD].


Carex hassei.  SALT SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from Coconino and Navajo counties, 8500 feet or lower [McD].


Carex haydeniana.  CLOUD SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 8000-11,500 feet [McD].


Carex heteroneura var. chalciolepis (=Carex chalciolepis).  HOLM SEDGE.  Found on San Francisco Mountain, Coconino County, 11,000-12,000 feet [McD].


Carex hystericina.  BOTTLEBRUSH SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, up to ca. 6000 feet [McD].


Carex interior.  INLAND SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Apache County, at 7000-8000 feet [McD].


Carex lenticularis var. lipocarpa (=Carex kelloggii).  KELLOGG'S SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported in Coconino County, at ca. 7500 feet [McD].


Carex leptopoda.  TAPERFRUIT SHORTSCALE SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported in Coconino and Apache counties, 8000-10,000 feet [McD].


Carex meadii.  MEAD'S SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from Hermit Creek, Grand Canyon, Coconino County [McD].


Carex microptera (=Carex festivella).  SMALLWING SEDGE.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 8500-9500 feet [McD, Carex festivella]; Found on the North Rim of Grand Canyon in Coconino County, and in the Chuska Mountains in Apache County, ca. 8000 feet [McD, C. microptera].


Carex nebrascensis.  NEBRASKA SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Mohave, Coconino, and Apache counties, low elevations to 11,500 feet [McD].


Carex occidentalis.  WESTERN SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Yavapai, Coconino, and Apache counties, 5500-9500 feet [McD].


Carex oreocharis.  GRASSYSLOPE SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from San Francisco Mountain, Coconino County [McD].


Carex pellita (=Carex lanuginosa misapplied).  WOOLLY SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found throughout region up to 9000 feet [McD].


Carex petasata.  LIDDON SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from Coconino and Apache counties, 8000-9500 feet [McD].


Carex praegracilis.  CLUSTERED FIELD SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found or reported throughout region, 3000-9500 feet [McD].

Carex rostrata.  BEAKED SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 7500-9500 feet [McD].

Carex specuicola.  NAVAJO SEDGE.  Perennial.  Near Inscription House, Coconino County, at ca. 5000 feet [McD].  Northern Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, "from the Navajo Creek drainage, east to the Rock Point/Mexican Water" at 4400-7000 feet [ARPC].


Carex stipata.  OWLFRUIT SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, up to 9000 feet [McD].


Carex subfusca.  BROWN SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Yavapai and Coconino counties, 3500-9500 feet [McD].


Carex thurberi.  THURBER'S SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from Coconino County [McD].


Carex ultra (=Carex spissa var. ultra).  COCHISE SEDGE.  ARIZONA GIANT SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in the extreme southern end of Apache County, 7500-8500 feet [McD].  South-central and southeastern Yavapai County; 2500-6000 feet [ARPC].


Carex vallicola.  VALLEY SEDGE.  Perennial.  Bee Spring on the Kaibab Plateau, Coconino County, at 7000 feet [McD].


Carex vallicola var. rusbyi (=Carex rusbyi).  RUSBY'S SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Yavapai and Coconino counties, 7000-9500 feet [McD].


Carex vesicaria.  BLISTER SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported in southern Coconino County at 7500 feet [McD].


Carex vulpinoidea.  FOX SEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from the White Mountains of Apache County [McD].


Carex wootonii.  WOOTON'S SEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 7000-11,500 feet [McD].


Cladium californicum.  CALIFORNIA SAWGRASS.  Perennial.  Reported from near Columbine Falls in Mohave County, and from the bottom of Grand Canyon, Coconino County in Coconino County [McD].


Cyperus difformis.  VARIABLE FLATSEDGE.  Annual.  Reported from near Topock, Mohave County, at ca. 650 feet [McD].


Cyperus erythrorhizos.  REDROOT FLATSEDGE.  Annual.  Reported from Separation Canyon, Mohave County, probably ca. 1500 feet [McD].


Cyperus esculentus.  YELLOW NUT-GRASS.  CHUFA FLATSEDGE.  Reported in Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, mostly below 6000 feet [McD].


Cyperus fendlerianus.  FENDLER'S FLATSEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, at 4500-9500 feet [McD].


Cyperus laevigatus.  SMOOTH FLATSEDGE.  Perennial.  Found along the Big Sandy River in Mohave County, at ca. 2000 feet [McD].


Cyperus niger (=Cyperus niger var. capitatus).  BLACK FLATSEDGE.  Perennial.  Found in Yavapai County at 3500 feet and above, reported from Navajo and Apache counties [McD].


Cyperus odoratus (=Cyperus ferax).  FRAGRANT FLATSEDGE.  Annual.  Found in Mohave, Yavapai, and Navajo counties, 650-5700 feet [McD].


Cyperus parishii.  PARISH'S FLATSEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from near Prescott, in Yavapai County [McD].


Cyperus retroflexus (=Cyperus uniflorus).  ONEFLOWER FLATSEDGE.  Perennial.  Reported from Beaver Creek in Yavapai County [McD].


Cyperus squarrosus (=Cyperus aristatus).  BEARDED FLATSEDGE.  Annual.  Found in Yavapai, Coconino, and Navajo counties, 3500-7500 feet [McD].


Eleocharis acicularis.  NEEDLE SPIKERUSH.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 7000-9000 feet [McD].


Eleocharis bella.  BEAUTIFUL SPIKERUSH.  Annual.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 5500-9000 feet [McD].


Eleocharis engelmannii.  ENGELMANN'S SPIKERUSH.  Annual.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties [McD].


Eleocharis palustris (=Eleocharis macrostachya).  COMMON SPIKERUSH.  Perennial.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties [McD].


Eleocharis parishii.  PARISH'S SPIKERUSH.  Perennial.  Throughout region below 8500 feet [McD].


Eleocharis quinqueflora (=Eleocharis pauciflora var. suksdorfiana).  FEWFLOWER SPIKERUSH.  Perennial.  Found in Yavapai, Coconino, and Apache counties, 5000-9000 feet [McD].


Eleocharis radicans.  ROOTED SPIKERUSH.  Perennial.  Reported from Grand Canyon in Coconino County, below 4500 feet and near Camp Verde in Yavapai County [McD].


Eleocharis rostellata.  BEAKED SPIKERUSH.  Perennial.  Found in Grand Canyon and north of Flagstaff at ca. 7250 feet, Coconino County [McD].


Fimbristylis thermalis.  HOT SPRINGS FIMBRY.  Perennial.  Reported from Grand Canyon in Coconino County [McD].


Schoenoplectus acutus var. occidentalis (=Scirpus acutus var. acutus).  TULE.  Perennial.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 3500-9000 feet [McD, who lists Scirpus acutus; USDA PLANTS indicates that Sch. acutus var. occidentalis is the taxa present].


Schoenoplectus americanus (=Scirpus americanus; Scirpus olneyi).  CHAIRMAKER'S BULRUSH.  Perennial.  Found throughout region at ca. 1000-6000 feet [McD, Scirpus americanus]; reported from Yavapai, Coconino, and Apache counties, at 3500-7000 feet [McD, S. olneyi].


Schoenoplectus californicus (=Scirpus californicus).  CALIFORNIA BULRUSH.  Perennial.  Reported in Mohave County, 800-3500 feet [McD].


Schoenoplectus maritimus (=Scirpus paludosus).  COSMOPOLITAN BULRUSH.  Perennial.  Found or reported in Mohave, Yavapai, Navajo, and Apache counties, 1000-6900 feet [McD].


Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani (=Scirpus validus).  SOFTSTEM BULRUSH.  Perennial.  Throughout region at up to 7000 feet [McD].


Scirpus microcarpus.  PANICLED BULRUSH.  Perennial.  Found in Yavapai, Coconino, and Apache counties, 4000-7500 feet [McD].


Scirpus pallidus.  CLOAKED BULRUSH.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, at ca. 7000 feet [McD].
