Habitat.
Along Oatman Road at milepost 18, western Mohave County. The Larrea is the sparsely branched olive-colored shrub growing across the flats. The prominent peak in the background is Boundary Cone.

Habit.
This individual and others next to it had greener, lusher foliage than most
in the vicinity, and may have been growing over the rest area's septic system.
