Calypso bulbosa.  FAIRY SLIPPER.  Perennial.  Found on the North Rim of Grand Canyon and on San Francisco Mountain, Coconino County; and in the White Mountains of Apache County, 8500-10,000 feet [McD].



Corallorhiza maculata (the genus has also been spelled with a double "r": Corallorrhiza [USDA]).  SPOTTED CORAL-ROOT.  SUMMER CORALROOT.  Perennial.  Found in Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 6000-10,000 feet [McD].


~Corallorhiza striata var. vreelandii.  STRIPED CORAL-ROOT.  VREELAND'S CORALROOT.  Perennial.  Shown on range map as being in the southeast portion of the region [FNA-26].


Corallorhiza wisteriana.  WISTER'S CORAL-ROOT.  SPRING CORALROOT.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 6000-8000 feet [McD].


Cypripedium pubescens var. pubescens (=Cypripedium calceolus var. pubescens).  GREATER YELLOW LADY'S SLIPPER.  Perennial.  Found in the White Mountains in Apache County [McD].


Epipactis gigantea.  STREAM ORCHID.  Perennial.  Found in Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, and Navajo counties, 3000-8000 feet [McD].


Goodyera oblongifolia.  WESTERN RATTLESNAKE PLANTAIN.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 8000-9500 feet [McD].


Goodyera repens.  LESSER RATTLESNAKE PLANTAIN.  Perennial.  Reported from Phelps Meadow, White Mountains of Apache County, 9500-10,000 feet [McD].


Malaxis macrostachya (=Malaxis soulei).  CHIRICAHUA ADDER'S-MOUTH ORCHID.  Perennial.  Found along the Mogollon Rim in Coconino County, and in the White Mountains of Apache County, at 6000-9500 feet [McD].


Malaxis porphyrea.  REDDISH-PURPLE MALAXIS.  Perennial.  Extreme southern Apache County; possibly also southern Coconino County (range map shows a location there not mentioned in the text), 7000-9200 feet [ARPC].


Platanthera hyperborea (=Habenaria hyperborea).  NORTHERN GREEN ORCHID.  Perennial.  Reported from Apache County, 7500-9000 feet [McD].


Platanthera hyperborea var. gracilis (=Habenaria sparsiflora var. laxiflora).  LAX-FLOWERED GREEN ORCHID.  Perennial.  Reported from Grand Canyon in Coconino County, the Navajo Indian Reservation, probably in Navajo County [McD].


Platanthera sparsiflora (=Habenaria sparsiflora).  SPARSE-FLOWERED BOG ORCHID.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 7000-9000 feet [McD].


Platanthera stricta (=Habenaria saccata).  SLENDER BOG ORCHID.  Perennial.  Reported in the White Mountains of Apache County, 8500-9500 feet [McD].


Platanthera zothecina.  ALCOVE BOG ORCHID.  Perennial.  Southern Coconino County: Oak Creek Canyon; northern Navajo County: Tseyi (Tsegi?) Canyon, Betaatakin Canyon; text also mentions Grand Canyon and Navajo Mountain, but does not show locations on range map; 5000-9000 feet [ARPC].


Spiranthes romanzoffiana.  HOODED LADIES'-TRESSES.  Perennial.  Reported from the Kaibab Plateau in Coconino County and from the White Mountains in Apache County, 8500-9500 feet [McD].
