Broomrape Family

Conopholis alpina var. mexicana (=Conopholis mexicana).  MEXICAN SQUAWROOT.  Perennial.  Reported from Apache County at 5000-6000 feet; specimen collected from northern Gila County [McD].


Orobanche corymbosa.  FLAT-TOP BROOMRAPE.  Annual.  Coconino County, on Artemisia tridentata [According to Alison Colwell (personal communication April 2002), this record is from a single specimen collected by Munz with specific determination confirmed by Turner Collins, and is probably the southeast limit of the range of the species].


Orobanche fasciculata.  CLUSTERED BROOMRAPE.  Annual.  Throughout region at 4000-8000 feet [McD].


Orobanche ludoviciana.  LOUISIANA BROOMRAPE.  Annual.  Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, and Navajo counties, 7000 feet or lower [McD].


Orobanche ludoviciana ssp. multiflora (=Orobanche multiflora).  MANYFLOWER BROOMRAPE.  Annual.  Found or reported in Mohave, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, probably also occurs in Yavapai County, 1000-6000 feet [McD].
