Polypodium hesperium (=Polypodium vulgare var. columbianum). WESTERN POLYPODY. Perennial. Oak Creek and Mogollon Rim in Coconino County, and mountains of Gila County, 7000-9000 feet [K&P, P. vulgare var. columbianum]. West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon of Coconino County [DP-21(1)]. FNA range map suggests this may occur farther north in the state as well [FNA-2].
~Polypodium saximontanum. ROCKY MOUNTAIN POLYPODY. Perennial. FNA shows the range as close to our area as southwest Colorado and northwest New Mexico, so should be looked for within Northern Arizona [FNA-2].
