Amelanchier utahensis.  UTAH SERVICEBERRY.  Shrub or small tree.  Throughout region at 2000-9500 feet (but mostly between 6000-7000 feet) [McD].


Argentina anserina (=Potentilla anserina; Potentilla anserina var. sericea).  SILVERWEED.  SILVERWEED CINQUEFOIL.  Perennial.  Coconino and Apache counties, 6000-8000 feet [McD].



Cercocarpus intricatus.  LITTLELEAF MOUNTAIN MAHOGANY.  Shrub.  Mohave, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 3000-7000 feet [McD].


Cercocarpus ledifolius.  CURL-LEAF MOUNTAIN MAHOGANY.  Shrub or small tree.  Found in Coconino County, 6000-9500 feet [McD].



Cercocarpus montanus.  ALDERLEAF MOUNTAIN MAHOGANY.  Shrub.  Found throughout region, 3000-8000 feet [McD].



Chamaebatiaria millefolium.  FERNBUSH.  Shrub.  Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, and Navajo counties, 4500-8000 feet [McD].



Coleogyne ramosissima.  BLACKBRUSH.  Shrub.  Throughout region at 3000-6500 feet [McD].


Crataegus erythropoda.  CERRO HAWTHORN.  Small tree.  Found in Oak Creek Canyon, Coconino County, reported from the White Mountains of Apache County, 4500-6000 feet [McD].


Crataegus rivularis.  RIVER HAWTHORN.  Small tree.  Reported from Clear Creek Canyon southeast of Winslow, Navajo County, at ca. 5000 feet [McD].


Dasiphora floribunda (=Potentilla fruticosa misapplied).  BUSH CINQUEFOIL.  SHRUBBY CINQUEFOIL.  Shrub.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 6500-9500 feet [McD].



Fallugia paradoxa.  APACHE PLUME.  Shrub.  Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino and Navajo counties, 3500-8000 feet [McD].


Fragaria vesca ssp. bracteata (=Fragaria bracteata).  WOODLAND STRAWBERRY.  Perennial.  Reported from the White Mountains of Apache County [McD].



Fragaria virginiana ssp. glauca (=Fragaria ovalis).  VIRGINIA STRAWBERRY.  Perennial.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 7000-11,000 feet [McD].

Ivesia multifoliolata.  MANYLEAF MOUSETAIL.  Perennial.  Southern Coconino County and adjacent parts of Yavapai County, 6000-7500 feet [McD].



Petrophyton caespitosum.  ROCK-MAT.  MAT ROCK-SPIREA.  Low matted shrub.  Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, and Navajo counties, probably also in Apache County, 5000-8000 feet [McD].


Physocarpus monogynus.  MOUNTAIN NINEBARK.  Shrub.  Mountains of Apache County, 8000-9000 feet [McD].


Potentilla arguta ssp. convallaria.  CREAM CINQUEFOIL.  Perennial.  Reported in Navajo and Apache counties, at ca. 6500-8500 feet [McD].


Potentilla biennis.  BIENNIAL CINQUEFOIL.  Annual or perennial.  Found on the Kaibab Plateau and on the South Rim of Grand Canyon in Coconino County, 6000-8500 feet [McD].


Potentilla concinna.  ELEGANT CINQUEFOIL.  Perennial.  Found or reported in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties at 7000-12,000 feet [McD].



Potentilla crinita.  BEARDED CINQUEFOIL.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties at 6000-8000 feet [McD].


Potentilla diversifolia.  VARILEAF CINQUEFOIL.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino and Apache counties, 8000-12,000 feet [McD].

Potentilla subviscosa.  NAVAJO CINQUEFOIL.  Perennial.  Coconino and Navajo counties [McD].


Potentilla thurberi.  SCARLET CINQUEFOIL.  Perennial.  Found in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, probably also eastern Yavapai County, 5500-9000 feet [McD].



Prunus armeniaca.  APRICOT.  Tree.  One individual along historic route 66 about 5 miles west of Seligman, northern Yavapai County, elevation 5500 feet; probably sprouted from discarded seed [LD].


Prunus emarginata.  BITTER CHERRY.  Shrub or small tree.  Found in Coconino County; reported from Hualapai Mountains in Mohave County, 5000-9000 feet [McD].


Prunus fasciculata.  DESERT ALMOND.  Shrub.  Found in Mohave County, and in Grand Canyon and Havasu Canyon in Coconino County; mostly below 5500 feet [McD].


Prunus serotina var. virens.  SOUTHWESTERN CHOKECHERRY.  BLACK CHERRY.  Large shrub or small tree.  Throughout region, 4500-6000 feet [McD].


Prunus virginiana.  COMMON CHOKEBERRY.  CHOKECHERRY.  Shrub or small tree.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 4500-8000 feet [McD].



Purshia stansburiana (=Cowania mexicana var. stansburiana; Cowania stansburiana).  CLIFF-ROSE.  STANSBURY CLIFFROSE.  Shrub or small tree.  Throughout region at 3000-8000 feet [McD].


Purshia x subintegra (=Cowania subintegra.  Believed to be hybrid of Purshia pinkavae and P. stansburiana).  ARIZONA CLIFFROSE.  KEARNEY CLIFFROSE.  BURRO CREEK CLIFFROSE.  Shrub.  Near Burro Creek, southeastern Mohave County, at ca. 2500 feet [McD].  Burro Creek (on Mohave-Yavapai County line); Cottonwood, Yavapai County; Horseshoe Reservoir on line of southeastern Yavapai County and northern Maricopa County (possibly in range of this flora); 2500-4000 feet [ARPC].


Purshia tridentata.  ANTELOPE BITTERBRUSH.  Shrub.  Found in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 4000-9000 feet [McD].


Rosa stellata.  DESERT ROSE.  Shrub.  Reported from both sides of the Grand Canyon, Coconino County, ca. 6500 feet [McD].


Rosa stellata ssp. abyssa.  GRAND CANYON ROSE.  Shrub.  Northern Mohave County, northern Coconino County: North and south rims of Grand Canyon, rims of Kanab Canyon, east rim of Marble Canyon; 4500-7500 feet [ARPC].



Rosa woodsii (=Rosa arizonica).  WOODS' ROSE.  Shrub.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 4000-9000 feet [McD].


Rubus arizonensis.  ARIZONA DEWBERRY.  Shrub.  Reported from Yavapai County, at 3500-5000 feet [McD].


Rubus idaeus ssp. strigosus (=Rubus strigosus).  AMERICAN RED RASPBERRY.  GRAYLEAF RED RASPBERRY.  Shrub.  Throughout region at 7000-11,500 feet [McD].


Rubus leucodermis.  WESTERN RASPBERRY.  WHITEBARK RASPBERRY.  Shrub.  Reported from Oak Creek Canyon, Coconino County, 5500 feet [McD].


Rubus neomexicanus.  NEW MEXICAN RASPBERRY.  Shrub.  Found in Yavapai and Coconino counties, 5000-9000 feet [McD].


Rubus parviflorus.  THIMBLEBERRY.  Shrub.  Found in the mountains of Apache County, 8000-9500 feet [McD].



Sanguisorba minor.  SMALL BURNET.  Perennial.  Along Flagstaff Urban Trail below Francis Short Pond, Flagstaff; ca. 6925 feet [LD].


Sibbaldia procumbens (=Potentilla sibbaldii).  CREEPING SIBBALDIA.  Perennial.  San Francisco Mountain, Coconino County, 11,000-12,000 feet [McD].


Sorbus dumosa.  ARIZONA MOUNTAIN ASH.  Shrub.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 8000-10,000 feet [McD].
