Populus x acuminata (=Populus angustifolia x deltoides).  LANCELEAF COTTONWOOD.  Tree.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 5000-7100 feet [McD].


Populus angustifolia.  NARROWLEAF COTTONWOOD.  Tree.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 5000-7000 feet [McD].



Populus balsamifera ssp. trichocarpa?  (=Populus trichocarpa).  BLACK COTTONWOOD?  Tree.  Along Oatman Road between Oatman and Sitgreaves Pass, at ca. 3260 feet, western Mohave County.  May have been planted or may be descendents of planted trees in this mining district; may be alien species not in the field manual used to identify it, so identification provided is tentative [LD].



Populus fremontii.  FREMONT COTTONWOOD.  Tree.  Throughout region, 6100 feet and lower [McD].



Populus tremuloides.  QUAKING ASPEN.  Tree.  Throughout region, 4200-9000 feet [McD].


Salix amygdaloides.  PEACHLEAF WILLOW.  Tree.  Found in Yavapai County and reported from Apache County, 3200-6500 feet [McD].


Salix arizonica.  ARIZONA WILLOW.  Shrub.  Southern Apache County: White Mountains, 8500-10,000 feet [ARPC].


Salix bebbiana.  BEBB WILLOW.  Shrub or small tree.  Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 8000-11,000 feet [McD].


Salix bonplandiana.  BONPLAND WILLOW.  Small tree.  Yavapai County and Havasu Canyon in Coconino County, 3500-5000 feet [McD].


Salix boothii  (=Salix pseudocordata misapplied).  BOOTH'S WILLOW.  Reported (as S. pseudocordata) from Betatakin, Navajo County, and from the White Mountains, Apache County [McD].


Salix exigua.  COYOTE WILLOW.  NARROWLEAF WILLOW.  Shrub.  Throughout region, 3000-9500 feet [McD].


Salix geyeriana.  GEYER'S WILLOW.  Shrub.  Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 5000-7000 feet [McD].


Salix gooddingii (=Salix gooddingii var. variabilis).  GOODDING'S WILLOW.  Throughout region up to 7000 feet, but usually lower [McD].


Salix irrorata.  DEWYSTEM WILLOW.  Shrub.  Reported from the White Mountains of Apache County, 6000-7500 feet [McD].


Salix laevigata.  RED WILLOW.  Tree or shrub.  Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, and Navajo counties, 2000-7000 feet [McD].


Salix lasiolepis.  ARROYO WILLOW.  Shrub or tree.  Throughout region, 4000-7500 feet [McD].


Salix ligulifolia.  STRAPLEAF WILLOW.  Shrub.  Probably occuring in Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo and Apache counties, 4000-6000 feet or highr [McD].


Salix lucida ssp. caudata (=Salix caudata var. bryantiana).  GREENLEAF WILLOW.  Shrub.  Reported near Springerville, Apache County [McD].


Salix lucida ssp. lasiandra (=Salix lasiandra).  PACIFIC WILLOW.  Tree or shrub.  Reported near Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, 5000-6500 feet [McD].


Salix lutea.  YELLOW WILLOW.  Shrub or small tree.  Similar distribution as Salix ligulifolia [McD].


Salix monticola (=Salix padophylla).  PARK WILLOW.  Shrub.  Reported from the White Mountains, Apache County [McD].


Salix scouleriana.  SCOULER'S WILLOW.  Shrub or small tree.  Coconino and Apache counties, 7000-10,000 feet [McD].
