Inflorescences of Typha domingensis, south of Kingman, Arizona.

Sausage-like inflorecences and upper leaves.

South of Kingman, Mohave County: Off of Old Trails Road, next to railroad bridge over wash,
about 1½ miles south of north end of the road at ca. 3,250 feet elevation.

Inflorescences.
Each spike is divided into two sections; in this image the straw-colored remnants
of the staminate flowers are at top, and the cinnamon-colored pistillate flowers below.
The flowers are minute and packed into the spikes by the thousands.
